Selenas Cafe: My Experience and Review

Location: 337 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, New York
Phone number: 518-729-5809
My Rate: 5 stars!

First, I would love to say, I was very happy to have found this place. We decided after getting an oil change to stop in here since it was right across the street and new to us.

I'd like to start off by saying, as soon as I walked in, My eyes lit up. Inside is very beautiful. Wonderful decor, a very organized set up. There are about twelve tables and also an island with more seats.

As soon as we walked in, The lady that worked there was very friendly. The environment was very comfortable. She gave us the menus so we sat down. I couldn't believe how beautiful this place is.  By the way, I think this is the coolest thing.. The mats you see on the tables, they are mats showing all the Presidents of the United States of America. I have been to a few cafes and I have to say I think that was pretty awesome and unique!

Now, lets get to what most people wonder about. The food. We ordered two wraps. One was a Crispy Chicken Ranch Wrap and the other was a Chicken Fajita on wheat wrap.

I would have loved to show you mine, but I'm not going to lie, I already started eating it before taking a picture haha.

Chicken Fajita Wrap on wheat
These wraps were absolutely DELICIOUS!

It was very delightful to have come here. The prices are not bad at all. The lady who worked there was really great. They also have desserts and bakery goods in the front. (By the way their cookies are huge and awesome).

My most favorite touch of this place was the napkin dispensers. Your probably thinking, "How can she love a napkin dispenser"?

All the napkin dispensers on the tables have different motivational quotes/sayings to them and I absolutely love that. Seriously, If you ever go there on a bad day, Just read those dispensers, I have read many of them and it could definitely be uplifting to anyone.

So all in all, If you are looking for a nice cafe for breakfast or lunch, I would definitely say try Selenas Cafe.

Very clean, Bathrooms are very clean, Lovely colors and decor. Definitely stop on by and give it a try!

We do plan on going back again!

Thank you to all the 518 Local Businesses and Musicians readers for taking your time and stopping in!

Local Musician Starts Movement Against Drug Abuse

Allen Brozowski, A local rap artist from Rensselaer, New York has created a song that has already started touching peoples lives. The song "Feeling Pain" is continuing to go viral on Facebook along with other media sites and even made it on the news.  (http://wnyt.com/article/stories/S3451084.shtml?cat=300)

The song "Feeling Pain" is dedicated to those who have lost their lives and to the families and friends who have lost someone and to those who today are struggling with the drug abuse.

Allen is gaining more and more support every day by family, friends, his girlfriend and many more from other states who are very dedicated on Allen's journey in reaching out to everyone he possibly can to help them see what drugs can do. His song is used based on his own experiences and it really is a real thing.

His video has recently been released earlier this morning and I truly hope it reaches out to many out there who are dealing with the same struggles in this every day life.

Here is his video of the song "Feeling Pain". If you or anyone you know are fighting a battle that you feel like you can't win, think again. There is hope.

(Some Explicit Language )

This video was created at the local Cemetary off of 3rd Ave extension in Rensselaer/East Greenbush - New York

If you or someone you know who are struggling with drug abuse, You can definitely end it before it's to late. Don't let the drugs take over YOUR life. Life can end quicker than you would ever know.

And just a quick message to Allen and Scruffo: Thank You for doing this, and I truly hope it changes people for the better and help them fight against these drug addictions.
